Non-Alcoholic Wines: Far More Than Just a Compromise!
Why Non-Alcoholic Wine is Everywhere Right Now
Trends like "Mindful Drinking" and "Sober Curiosity" are bringing a breath of fresh air to our drinking culture. Choosing to live consciously sober instead of raising a boozy toast. And all of this without feeling like you're missing out – thanks to non-alcoholic wines.
Anything but grape juice
Alcohol-free wine is made from grapes just like classic wine: they are harvested, pressed, and fermented. Only then is the alcohol removed. Since alcohol normally carries the aromas and fullness of flavour, the alcohol-free alternative is given its very own taste profile in the final step, for example by adding grape juice concentrate. By the way: legally, a wine is considered alcohol-free if its alcohol content is below 0.5% by volume.
Easy at the table
No alcohol, full flavour: non-alcoholic alternatives taste fresh, fruity, tangy, and are usually lighter, more direct, and crisper. And that is exactly why they pair best with light, aromatic cuisine. Whether it's salads, vegetable dishes, poultry, pasta, or bowls – anything goes. Tastes like summer on your balcony!
Non-alcoholic wines are well on their way from being a trend to becoming a permanent fixture in our wine cellars. And that’s a great thing. Cheers and raise your glasses!
